Honestly I lost count of how many traffic methods
Alex Jeffreys taught in tonights Traffic Tornado
Module. However here is a good piece of advice that
I got from Michael Cheney. Try out the different
methods, find out which ones you like to do and then
concentrate your efforts on those methods.
You are going to find that some things work better
than others for you. You will also find that you like
doing some of them and just hate doing others. Pick
the ones you like and massively implement them.
Personally I hate posting on forums, I only do it
when I have to, or when I am working on a promotion.
In those cases I go in and try to help people on the
forum and try to give the best content that I can.
I then use my signature to send traffic to whatever
I am trying to draw attention to or promote. This
must be done tactfully. It is not wise to post a
comment about a topic and then have blatant link
to that topic in your signature. There are some
forum members who will call you out on this
behavior every time.
My personal preference is writing articles. I find
that I really enjoy writing, and a good article will
reap the reward of a ton of backlinks to your site.
One of the article directories I like to submit to
is a site called Article Content King. The reason is,
that I earn revenue from Adsense through a revenue sharing
program at Article Content King. It is a cool way to make a
little extra income from your articles.
The second method that Alex Jeffreys mentioned tonight
that I use is Press Releases. Not only a great way to
send traffic to your site, but the search engines love
the things.A good press release is almost guaranteed to
raise your rankings in the search engines.
Of course through the process of writing articles, press
releases and even blog posts keywords and keyword density
are very important. You need a keyword density of 1.6 to
2.3 percent. A cool free tool to check keyword density is
at http://live-keyword-analysis.com/ It works great for
a single keyword or multiple keywords and you can
use it on the fly.
For example one keyword that I am using in this article
is Alex Jeffreys. You will see that I have used it
numerous times throughout the post. I know right now that
the keyword density for Alex Jeffreys in this post is
right around 1.3%. So to raise it up I will have to find a way
to get Alex Jeffreys in this post at least one more time.
There that took it to 1.6 percent and if I mention Alex Jeffreys
again it will take it to 1.8 percent which is just about perfect.
So my advice is to try out as many traffic methods that Alex
Jeffreys mentioned, and then pick out the ones you like best.
Keyword density 2%. perfect!

Hi Thomas. Great article with great tips.
I’m in Dean Holland’s Starting With Marketing class and I’m loving it.
I hope that I can get into Alex Jeffreys’ class someday.
Keep up the good work, and thank you!

Hey Ed
Thanks for stopping by. I met Dean in Las Vegas at the Alex Jeffreys workshop in May. Straight shooting guy, you can’t go wrong there. If you want some more good tips take a look at my other blog http://www.runfrommoney.com
It is a little more advanced than this blog in topic.
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Great advice – do what you find is best for you.
Personally I find forums a bit easier than articles, but am still doing some articles and will be trying other methods such as giveaways until I see which is really the best for me.
Hey Keith
Your right forums are easier. In the long run articles will drive traffic for years to come, where forums are good for a quick blast. Both are very useful!
Right now I am concentrating on writing articles and press releases for SEO purposes and I am doing adswaps and giveaways to build the good ol list.
I am also using blogs for product promotion, in fact this blog was originally set up to promote Marketing With Alex 2.0 then once the program started I switched it over to more of a student type blog.
Thomas
I like the idea of doing whats best for you but there are times when we all need to step outside our comfort zones and maybe do something we don’t like or are not comfortable with.
For example, I hate the camera ukkkk! but you can bet your bottom $ I will have my first vid online next week.
Hi Peter
Thanks for stopping by. You may have missed the point. The point is that there is no way you can do all the traffic methods and do them all well. In the end it will be in your best interest to pick a few that you like and that work well for you and put your effort into them. Remember the 80/20 rule.
Thomas
Hi Thomas
I see you mentioned Alex Jeffreys
.
Thanks for the link on keywords.
Regards
Mike
Hey Mike
Yea I tend to mention his name quite often in this blog. It’s part of my super secret plan to steal the #1 spot on Google from Alex himself. I am working my way up there. Number 5 today for the keyword Alex Jeffreys.
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
I am one of your fellow students, I am visiting all the other students blogs just to say hi how you doing? I liked your info about Mike and the methods he uses, food for thought I guess!
Nice Blog Keep up the good work. Pop over to my blog and say hi and leave a comment. http://stevebaileys.com
All the Best.
Regards Steve.
Hi Steve
Thanks for stopping by. Yeah when Michael Cheney speaks you are wise to listen. The guy makes millions.
He was one of the first pioneers to use video sales letters and the guy kicks butt with his email marketing.
I have been collecting every email he has sent for about a year now. I study each one and try to learn from the way he writes them.
Thomas
Hey Thomas,
You have given me some great tips and resources in this post, I’ll have to come back the next time I write an article, just to make sure I’m doing the right things, I’m new to article marketing.
Great stuff,
Paul.
Hey Paul
Glad to hear you are into writing articles.
It is a really cool way to drive traffic to your
website. For more online business tips visit

Great advice – do what you find is best for you.
Personally I would think that writing articles would be the best for me also, I dont think I would enjoy posting to forums because like you say…
you have to be careful…otherwise you can get flamed…!!
other methods such as giveaways seems like a good way also with ad swaps once you’ve got a few subscribers.
I’ve just joined Article Content King…
Hey I enjoyed your example with keywords in your post…
Great stuff.
See you around.
Malcolm.t.
Thomas,
I agree with you, article writing is a great way to generate traffic, even if it sometimes takes a little longer for the effects to be noticed. I have not written as many articles as I would have liked to, but I think it’s one of the areas I’m going to start focusing on in the coming weeks.
Also, I can’t discount the effect of all our fellow Alex Jeffreys students linking to each other and commenting on their blogs. That seems to be having a profound effect on my search rankings and overall traffic.
JR
Thomas,
What great advice. It makes total sense to to perform the traffic methods you like (and hopefully are effective) rather than keep hitting your head against the wall trying to make something work that is totally driving you nuts!!
Keepp up the good writing!
THanks
Lee
I see you are no longer posting. Does this mean you are no longer doing IM?
Hey Evan
No, I have lost track of the class, right after Alex got married I stopped receiving notices about when the modules were being held. I was not concerned as it is my second trip through the class and much of the information is repeat for me. Plus I can watch any of the modules on the forum.
I have been concentrating on creating my own products including a unique coaching program that I will be releasing soon.
In the meantime I am going to be offering all the students a deal that only a fool would pass up. Watch for it on the forum.
Thomas
